Christopher Burman's Solo Project Empty Christopher Burman's Solo Project

This thread is to talk about Chris' upcoming solo project. In the forum chatbox, he told us that he would be singing and that the new material had a lot of meaning to him personally, which is why he chose to detach himself from Spector - because he needed to focus everything into this.

I'm excited, if I'm honest. There's only really one track he's released as such, 'While You Were Sleeping', which was released along with his Vehicle brochure. I like it a lot, it's very different to the music we've heard from him before. You can listen [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

How do you feel about the project? Do you think he will adopt a new moniker, or will he release his music as Christopher Burman? Discuss.

I'm definitely excited! =) also very curious about his singing voice. From what I've heard live his voice is very nice (pretty deep too <3 ) but he never struck me as a very practised singer. Like there is this video of Spector playing True Love (for now) at Rough Trade and the party were Fred and Chris sing together goes completely wrong haha ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]). But then again that was one of the first times they played it life so he might just have been insecure about the song. Or he can't sing with Fred (I get that when I sing with certain people).... WHO KNOWS :P

but I'm very very curious about that. And the style of the music too. Will it be like "While you were sleeping"? Or was that just for the brochure? Can't wait to hear what he comes up with. Very happy

I'd be dishonest, if I'd say I'm not excited. One part of me wants it has sound similar to Spector, but other - something new, not even similar to "While you were sleeping" which is good
Can it have some Gabriel Bruce sound?
